It just looks like it's a fairly authentic (using the term loosely) jazz funeral procession, which leads to a show on the boat. I'm really impressed with the variety of props that they're using on the boat, which I'm sure make the performers a lot easier to see.

Does the procession to the castle and down Main Street happen every day, or was it just for the opening of the show?

I can't wait to see this once it opens in DL!

I was there all day on monday, it was a really cool event and the jubilee is a throwback to the type of events wdw used to throw for the their big animated features.

    MVMCP happens at night.

The night is the sun isn't out.

That makes it dark over large bodies of water without lighting infrastructure.

No one has reported seeing giant lights installed on the banks of the rivers of America recently.

There have been no permits filed to install any such lights in the future.

A show on a boat in the middle of a river during the night would require lighting from the shore.

It always seems like they stop running things at least 2-3 hours before the show, so it would be kind of fun if this came by with an hour to go or something to break up the wait a little. They already have the boat and the lights, so why not use them together? And FWIW, the DL version opens on Monday.

Obviously Louis had a recorded voice, and I'm assuming that the background singers were recorded as well. The singing was very very well done, which leads me to think that the whole thing is prerecorded, but that seems like it would be very difficult for the musicians to keep in time. If most of the singing is live, then they certainly have some impressive singers, and if it's recorded they have some very talented musicians playing in the band. Great show!

It's probably the easiest to combine live with prerecorded. Yes, the voices are prerecorded.

Also interesting is the combination of the parade route's audio and the boat's audio systems.

I'm assuming the DL version will use the Fantasmic! speakers around the river, since the parade route doesn't go anywhere near there.
