Also the catapulting section has been prolonged all the way down to to bottom of the cannon (it's aaawesome!) as the first version had a confusing slow "load the cannon half way up" part. "Space Mountain - From the earth to the moon" was an homage to epic adventures (or one itself) with a classical music score but I guess many guests did not get the point of it and are more happy with the flashy effects (although not working many times) of M2. For worse or better, even the building itself with its cannon is worth a trip for any Space Mountain fan as it blows the others away, literally

Still you can not denie that M2 is more "action packed"... and let's not talk about that flat painted astronaut standing next to the track (perfect theming? always room for improvement...) Do not get me wrong, I proudly wear my DLTALL hat/shirts and would not buy M2 stuff. Still I have to protect this great Disney Mountain and I dare say if it's not worth a trip to see it, no other Space Mountain is

While I don't mind techno music at all for Mission 2, the first version had a fantastic soundtrack that made you feel like you were in a blockbuster film. It sounded like a great adventure. Replacing it with techno, it just loses a lot of the charm. Another big problem with Mission 2 is a lot of the effects are projections and lights, if they don't work...your not seeing much.
