I just wish more people up here would be more rational about this hurricane, rather than falling into a post-Katrina panic.

AK will probably remain closed since in order for the park to reopen they need to first assess all of the animal's outdoor habitats, clear any damage or hazards and then let all of the animals out from their night holding areas. AK's dense foilage also lends itself to more tree debris from high wind storms than the other parks which needs to be cleaned first before guests can enter. As such, by the time the park would be ready to reopen it wouldn't be worth opening it. Why MGM couldn't open too probably has to do with CM staffing issues. I hope everyone is safe tonight and tomorrow. Certainly Orlando's been through worse, but you never know what to expect.
