That's one thing I liked so much about him: he was incredibly popular, despite being available only at a single retail location in the park. If he now shows up everywhere, it removes the uniqueness of it. It might also be a signal that he's advancing to the final stage of popularity, and will soon be last year's news, so they're trying to milk it while they can.

So anything thats going to spread out the crowds looking to buy Duffy merchandise is a good thing in my view. The way I see it is that most of the TDS merchandise is very much the same now days. All the unique items are slowly being phased out. The Duffy stuff is easily the most popular merchandise line at the park. So it makes sense to me to see more shops sell the Duffy brand. TDS still has plenty of shops at the park where Mickey stuff is sold in large numbers. The one thing I don't get about the McDuck store selling Duffy merchandise is that your still unable to pick up the Shelley May goods. And only Aunt Peg's sells Shellie May.

I certainly don't think his debut should be held off until Toy Story Mania opens in 2012. Talking of TSM, anyone want to take a guess that it will open on March 20th 2012.
