Originally Posted By RAM1984 >>Are the odds of winning actually that high?<< That is what was said on the news this morning. I have no idea how they figure it but it is more involved than just the odds of picking the numbers. That is all I will say as I am no statistician. However, when my son was in AP statistics in high school they figured the odds on winning the lottery and he said they were so small that in math terms it came out to zero. I also heard that one is 600,000 times more likely to be struck by lightening than to win. I really do not know for sure. Just think it is amazing that the odds are obviously really high. And yes, somebody has to win.
