After seeing what happened to the River Belle Terrace (RBT), I am almost afraid of what they might do at the French Market. I **really** hope that they don't end up just "dumbing down" the selections (like, IMO, they did at the RBT) - the food at DL is such an integral part of the experience - I don't want to have to lose the French Market as another GOOD option for Lunch or Dinner. <sigh!> If they touch the Plaza Inn - then life as we know it has ended. Cobb Salads; That WONDERFUL Fried Chicken (we like it better than KNOTTS); Pot Roast - YUMMY!

I have had the salad at the Brown Derby (ok - it's the one at DHS at WDW) - but I like this one so much better.

Here is hoping for a new and improved menu with way better food. and i guess im the only one who wouldn't mind a change in the food at plaza, the fried chicken is always to greasy and gives me stomache pains everytime i eat it, i used to eat the pasta and until i realized how oily it really is, seriously i have had some pasta with oils but this one was with the red sauce and there was more oil than sauce, it made me loose my appetite, and i have only had the roast beef a couple of times but both times i have got it there was more fat than beef on it! The food at the resort, well at disneyland at least, has gone way way down hill, its either yucky burgers, fried chicken, or some sort of pasta. I wish they would bring some variety back to the park. I wish they would learn from disney world. the food over at their parks is amazing compared to what we have. Even at the magic kingdom i could find several things to eat but i can not find one thing to eat at disneyland which is why most of the time i eat at the winery, which has great food or ill go off property if i dont have the money to eat elsewhere on the disneyland property. Heres to not only better food but more selections!

Sorry that you don't care for the PI - we love it. I guess what I **really** miss is DL in it's food heyday - with the Tahitian Terrace serving really good food, the Plaza Inn AND the Plaza Pavilion; and who can forget the wonderful Big Thunder Ranch BBQ!

DH and I always just get a salad there, but I like their green beans (dd won't eat them so I eat hers). I once had a great burger at DL at Village Haus, but I know lots of people say they aren't good. I'm not a fried chicken or chicken strip person, but my younger daughter had the chicken strips from STage Door Cafe last year and they were REALLY good, much better than those mickey head nuggets they used to have. We didn't eat at French Market last time, and I am hoping for some changes there as well, for the better I hope.

The French Plaza and Rancho del Zocalo are two places we always eat every trip.

I hope they don't take the Mint Julep choice off the soda machine. It will be interesting to see what they change.

The salmon was a generous, but not obscenely large portion. It was moist and flavorful with a mild sauce. It was served over a bed of delicately flavored rice. It was accompanied by a small loaf of cheddar cheese corn bread. This was cold and a bit dense. The other menu items I recall were a roast beef accompanied by vegetables and mashed potatoes, and a three cheese pasta dish accompanied by vegetables. The mint julep is still in the beverage station.
