I never had thought about that difference between DLP and WDW Main Streets, but it's a great observation. I also think that bricks are much easier to maintain in a frosty climate. Let's just hope that the next big flooring project will be between WDS-DLH and train station...

I've only been once during high season, but I can hardly remember the evening hours. We have been another time during the Easter holidays and back then Disneyland still offered Evening Extra Magic Hours. We loved that, becuase the park is so beautiful when illuminated. In September 2008 the parks closed at 7 pm and so it wasn't already dark. Finally in February 2010 we have seen the Studios illuminated. It's amazing how lightning contributes to the atmosphere. WDS is really wonderful with all the neon lights.
