It's very important to compare more than location though. This section can help with that.

    <a href="http://www.ineedavacation.com/disneyland/AnaheimHotelMap.html" target="_blank">http://www.ineedavacation.com/...Map.html</a>

Also if you use Google Earth at all you can turn on the lodging layer to see hotels in the area. You can even use the Google Earth Street View to see photos from the street!

Another one is Microsoft Virtual Earth / maps.live.com.

I don't want Motel 8, but I'm not after The Four Seasons (unless the price were right!).

There are so many options I'm not sure where to start.

I kind of figured I'd book the HoJo as it seems popular with LPers, but it seems that a lot of other hotels are as well!!!

Carousel is nice and the have done some upgrades. Best Western has 2 facilities across the street with park place being directly across the street.
Park Place and Carousel both have cont breakfast.

Now the Desert Palm is very nice and has some decent rates right now - that one is also walkable (so I am told - have never tried)if you come up and cut through the GCH - that would be the same for the Annabell. Also Holiday Inn Express on Katella is about the same walk (and is on the Anaheim Resort Transist - if you decide you needed it)
Both the HIE and DP have breakfasts (might want to double check DP but I know HIE has some hot foods)

I know they did some work over there so maybe it's nicer now. We stayed there the June Cars came out because we were there to see that at the AP holders screening at the el capitan

I would love to stay at a Disney hotel someday, but it's not been in the budget so far.
