It was particularly strange on the 14th, when they had the Christmas lights on the clock tower off but the spotlight on the face and the ticking were still on. Part of what I always liked about the Santa hat was that the face moved without it getting in the way. Now, it just looks silly, especially with the ticking still running in the background.
