For the record the five best sports movies:

    1. Hoosiers
    2. Caddyshack
    3. Bull Durham
    4. Friday Night Lights
    5. Hoop Dreams

For me it's in the next tier.

But, I did watch the movie last night an enjoyed it. The quarterback getting knocked out was a bit predictable so I hope they do some unique things with the show.

The football action was pretty good though.

It was also filmed in Milwaukee which I attended one night at County Stadium. And here's the best place to look for me, when Charlie Sheen comes out to Wild Thing, I'm in the crowd singing.

    Breaking Away is totally underated.

If its too footbally I won't like it but I'll give it a try.

Well considering it focuses on a high school football team that the town abolutely worships that might be a problem. However, neither the book nor movie saw this as a good thing. I imagine the show will do the same. It shows how way too much pressure is put on these kids. This story is fascinating on a sociological level.

How would you like to perform your job while the town was talking about you non-stop on the radio? Intimidating, to say the least. I'm really looking forward to next week's episode.

I'm sure the music and cinematography choices have something to do with that. But it's also the great story and acting. I like that every show doesn't end in a game. I like that the characters seem real, and yet their is enough of an air of royalty that the tragedy of the show plays real too.

Can't recommend Friday Night Lights enough.
