So then Eric & I went to Hula Hut, a great little local restaurant down on Lake Austin. Yummy dinner! Then back to the theatre for our Sunday showing of Take Me Out (the show I'm running sound on right now - we close next Sunday). So, anyhow, for once I cut out right away to head home (usually on Sunday's I stay and have a beer with my fellow crew members). So, I realize I've only got a quarter of a tank of gas, so it's time to fill up. Sooooo, I head to my little Shell station right next to & across the street from my apartment complex and, LO AND BEHOLD... MALFORD MILLIGAN WALKS IN while I'm grabbing a Coke. Holy frijoles, I went all kinds of fangirl on him, and apologized if I was being too bubbly! heheh Anyhow, turns out he was "way up north here" (I live in extreme North Austin) because he lives near here, too - wow! How cool is that? Anyhow, just told him how much I enjoy his music, that I've got all his Storyville CDs, the Malford Milligan Band disc, and that I'm looking forward to seeing Storyville again at Antone's (<a href="http://www.antones.net" target="_blank">http://www.antones.net</a>) next month and how I wish I didn't work in theatre so I could see him more often. hehe Anyhow, he was gracious as always (I've chatted with him a couple of times before after gigs) and that just made my day.
