Don't ask me why but storytellers in particular Just feels so un-disneyish to me.

It looks quite nice, and even captures the feeling of the area on days when the park is next to empty, but it has a tendancy to clog up pretty quickly, making for a less than magical experience.

I'm sure they could reopen with security, or cameras present so everyone would stay safe. I considered the walk through one of disneyland's wonderful hidden gems. I miss it too.

If you're back there at the right time of day, you will be able to see the shadows from Toontown proper being projected onto the hills on the other side of the little backstage road. Well, apparently the designers thought they could save a buck or two by making the hills behind Mickey's house only facades (which, honestly was a good idea). But when the sun is setting, you get a lovely projection of the metal beams and chicken wire used to make the thin shell that forms the hills. It may only appear for a short time each day, but it sure looks funny while it's there. Another random thin in Toontown, is the clock over City Hall. There are little cannons at the base of it that at one point had figures of Mickey and Roger Rabbit playing little bugles. I'm not sure when they would appear, but they are often seen in the early pictures. However, I've never seen them pop out in real life. I was backstage for a performance in December, and we walked behind TT, and they are still there. I could just be passing by at the wrong time (because, honestly, there are better places to just sit and relax than next to Daisy's Diner), but it seems strange with all the times I've been by, and never seen them pop out to say hello...

It is so empty over there and rather bleak and you can tell that there is just a wall there.

Actually, that seems like one of the most Disney-like areas in the resort, to me. For me, Disney isn't about having cartoons, characters and happiness everywhere. It's more about getting an experience you can't find anywhere else. That area, for me at least, just seems to be so easy to forget that you're in the middle of a major metropolitan area. You feel like you're in the middle of nowhere, without a care in the world.

Even though Innoventions is a bit off the mark in terms of execution and edu-tainment value, it's the closest thing left that sort of fits with the original concept of Tomorrowland a sbeing a "working blueprint of the future." So to me, the preponderance of cartoon charaxcters in what was once a land of futurism is somewhat un-Disney.
