(the one time we went there for dinner a year or so back, it was very disconcerting because they do have a dress code over at Club 33 and it seemed like they'd make someone at least take off their John Deere hat and wear a borrowed coat over their tshirt). They had a meat sampler plate of some kind I recall that my hubby ordered and liked very much. Also the Club 33 punch was really good.. there was 6 of us at the time and while I liked the tables location I was kind of bummed that the some of us had to sit in the corner up against the wall. (this has happened with larger groups when we've had breakfast there (with the LP folks) there and it's usually not a big deal unless you drink a lot of coffee). I recall desert being really good..

Also as obnoxious as it sounds you should take some pix if possible.. they DO have the nice plates out for dinner but I always get weirded out when they pull the charger plates.. Is that normal?? I don't recall other nice places I've eaten at doing that.. (that is one of my main pet peeves about eating there, like they think we're going to steal the silverware).. sheesh. Enjoy your meal!

I had their beef plate, and it was so tender you didn't need a knife. Absolutely incredible. Our service was impecible (however you spell that).

You begin with a 1st course buffet (at lunch it was 3 kinds of green salads, seafood, including lobster claws, sushi, other salads, etc). Your main course is served at the table. After the main course, there is a wonderful dessert buffet.

Each time you leave your seat, you will return to a folded napkin. Photos are perfectly acceptable, and your waiter will be happy to snap a group picture. Be sure to take time to walk the balconies, too!

Plan for your meal to be leisurely and full of ambiance. I highly recommend the Pirate Punch!

In Dec. I lunched with folks who had been to an LP breakfast at the Club. The were floored at the difference between a large group event and a normal meal setting.

If a large group is the only way you ever anticipate gaining access to the Club, by all means, go! Otherwise, wait and get the true experience.

Take lots of pics, Just go walking around and enjoy the atmosphere and definitely go out on the balconies overlooking New Orleans Square....if you are lucky enough, sometimes Mickey Mouse will show up, so take a picture with him.

Don't forget, that also includes a 1-day parkhopper for the day of your reservation only. So, if you don't have an AP, it's a bargain!

Our service for dinner was really good and was a noticeable difference to the large event breakfast as I mentioned.. I personally think that the staff should be the same no matter what group they are serving. Being Disney and all. *shrug* oh well. I really did like the Club 33 Punch though.. that was yummy (I don't drink wine all that much). =) Still for the price and experience I really liked my dinner at the Tapas place in DtD (as well Napa Rose was pretty good for the bday dinner SeanYoda & I had a year ago.. or was it 2?). sigh.. my memory is going.

My other question is the person who made our reservation said we had to pay a fee at the gate when we picked up our ticket and then another fee for our dinner? Is this right or did it get confused as it passed though everyone? What should we expect the two fees to total to? We will be there for dinner but will not be drinking any alcohol. Do you pay a flat fee for all courses or does each course have a separate fee? I'm planning $100/person is this too low?

It was soo good (daquries were quite tastey too) Don't know about the price as mine was prepaid for my bday.

The first time we went, they made Mickey Mouse shaped pasta on a grill in front of you, but the second time they weren't doing it. Do they not do it any more or is it just on certain days?
Butternut, make sure you buy a souvenier while you're up there, like the Club 33 pin or a shirt or something to remember your experience by.

Well, they got it a bit wrong. You go to the window to the left of DCA at Guest Services. You show an ID for the name the ressies are under. They will hand you a dress code and verify the number in your party as well as your time and they give you park hoppers for the amount of people in your party.

Use the parkhoppers to go to both DCA and DL, then about 10 minutes before your ressie, go to the Club and ring the bell (It should be fixed by now). They again make sure you are on the list. They take you to your table, you enjoy your meal, buy Club 33 merchandise, etc.

At the end, they give you a bill for your meal. The per person cost is at least the cost for a one-day park hopper, the average is about $85-100 per person depending on what you order, although I haven't been to a dinner seating in over a year.

I "made" my family dress up a bit, well, dockers or nice jeans and a button down shirt and the girls easily dolled up a bit. I was surprised when we sat next to a family wearing t shirts and Goofy pirate hats :) I now also know that you'll see all kinds of dress at Club 33.

Enjoy! I hope to be lucky enough to go back sometime :)

I hope you have a wonderful time and if you take a photo of you and your hubby, feel free to e-mail it to tk510@juno.com They'll post your photo in the guest section of the web site! Just include your names and perhaps the event you're celebrating. Luis and Eric are two of the club's finest waiters, really wonderful fellows and the bartender's name is Dr. Lee. He makes a drink called the Blue Bayou that is out of this world. Thanks!
