Also, out of curiosity, I'm wondering what you thought of the 50 yrs of theme park magic decorations? Did you like them, and if so why? Did you not like them, and if so why not? You can probably tell from my paragraph above, I didn't really like them. But that's only because I proposed to my wife by the castle, so it always has a special place in our hearts as it looked that night, not as it is now. Thanks!!!!!!

Sweetheart.. the tarps and scaffolding came off the TDL castle over a month ago! ...and trust me, the MK Castle needs all the TLC it can possibly get, while management is willing to pay some money to do it. So let's be greatfull.

I'm not wild about it, either, but I'm glad they're serious about upkeep of the castle. Hey, at least it's not pink with big blow-up candles on it!

At the very least, I would hope they would so something like what DL had, with it covered in plain blue tarps, with plywood cutouts of the cards from Alice in Wonderland all over it, holding paintbrushes and stuff. It didn't come close to seeing the real castle, but it was a cute touch that made you think of the song, and instantly know what was going on. I think what they did at TDL was great, making an event out of teh castle getting painted. Having Stitch take over the park and throw paint on things made it make more sense to have the castle covered up. The little wall in the front also showed the Stitch idea. They could also have some Stitch-type things hanging off the tarps too. This certainly wouldn't hurt the crowds over at the great attraction any. I could also see them doing what they did a few years back on the Main Street railroad station, where there is a full size picture of the building blown up onto the tarp, so it looks like it is there, but it is actually the tarps. This was also done this spring for the Emporium in Disneyland Paris. Hopefully they will have something interesting to look at while the castle is all covered up. Whatever they do, I sure hope the majority of the budget is devoted to making the castle shine like it hasn't in a long time, not covering it up.

Hopefully the final product will be worth the eyesores. I just hope they do not copy the new TDL makeover colors as I think that TDL castle looks stunning and deserves a different look to set it apart for the MK's.

Why all you folks are breathing heavy over a bunch of cardboard cutouts with dayglow paint is totally out of my scope of reasoning. I saw it last year at DL and all I could think was, "I want my money back. I've been ripped off".
