I took delta the last time and was not pleased with the service at all. Can someone tell me about flying continental? any information would be great. Thanks everyone!

I usually select an airfare based on the route, not the carrier.

For example, Delta connecting in Cincinnatti is almost always a decent experience. Delta connecting in Atlanta has a 100% chance of being miserable for one reason or the other.

If you have options to connect in a smaller airport hub (I think Continental uses Houston?) -- pick the regional airport over the mega-hub. That's all the difference in my opinion.

I was just hoping to hear that the service is better on continental.

I think with any airline, you're going to find both positive and negative stories. I agree with Goofy's advice and choose the itinerary that's best for you.

Good luck and have a great trip!

Even though my friend has been a Continental pilot for over 20 years, I wouldn't rate them any higher than most of the others. I agree that there are none that are excellent every time and none that are horrible every time.
    It's a crapshoot.

I fly Continental pretty often on the East Coast and it has been fine. Most recently I travelled on Southwest which wasn't bad either, although I like to have my seats picked out in advance.

So, I can't comment on domestic, but internationally they are first rate (lots of food, almost decent actually, good service, good entertainment options, on time, friendly), MUCH better than my experiences with United and American (they both SUCKED!).

For international economy class, I'd give them an 8 out of 10 given the state of things these days (sure, they could do lots more, but it's "good enough", which I think is what everyone always hopes for! :p).

    No problems at all.

So, overall I guess I've been on over a dozen Continental flights both short and long and never had a problem, if that's worth anything.

I agree. When I shop, I shop by price and route.
