We got up OK and got to the park and were at the front of Main St. for the ribbon drop. We went straight to the Matterhorn and rode each side once. (Talked to others about faster side theory.) Headed for PP and Mr. Toad 2x and got on Fairy boats with only 6 other people. Went to get FP for SpaceMt and line was a walk-on. After, line had grown to 25 min. so then we used our FP. On to Toontown and RR and Go-Coaster. Every ride in the park was a walk-on. Very relaxing to stroll the park, smile and nod to people and go on whatever met our fancy.
We ate lunch at Riverbelle Terrace and enjoyed watching people stroll by. Then we went on POTC, Indy and Jungle Cruise. We headed for DCA and had our longest wait of the day; 20 min. for Monster Incs (our granddaughter’s name for it.) Rode CA Screamin’ twice, got a fresh tortilla and rode ToT twice. By then we were ready for a nap. I have a brand new DVD camera and had run down the battery already. I plugged in battery charger,we napped, ate dinner in our room and headed back for the fireworks. We rode the train clear around the park and got off on Main St. and there was still an empty space right on steps of station in front of Castle. So glad I had charged up my batteries!! Very tired we headed straight out of the park to beat the crowds. We were up at 6:15 next morning but more on that later.

Oh I agree totally. I have been at DL in torrential rain storms, blinding heat, heavy crowds, stuck deep in the bowels of Pirates for nearly 2 hours, and even had the fireworks cancelled after a 3 hour wait in front of castle. Yet I will always say that my worst day at Disneyland beats my best day anywhere else.

Then there are those days that just stand out and last Friday was one of them:)

Same here. I had a feeling we would run into someone and kept looking around but when we saw Eric I thought that was it.
I checked the trip countdowns just before we left to see if anyone I knew was going but did not see anything from you all.
