What makes you like that point in time? I myself like 1900-1940. I liked the way they dressed and the things they used daily(dishes, bowls, linnens etc.) I also liked the way the countryside looked. Open spaces ,farmhouses, railroad tracks and trains everywhere and rickety old speakeasy/juke houses with food & moonshine flowing and music playin. (Think Fried Green Tomatoes) Oh how I wish I lived in an old 1900's Farm house in the middle of the countryside. Thats the life for me. How about you?

I'd love to have grown up in the 50's like my parents.

And all the women were worldly-wise, fast talking and smart, quick with a snappy comeback, and how! I'd leave in a cheap hotel, the kind with the buzzing, flashing neon sign, overlooking the Big City. I'd have to start smoking, because smoking was required by law, I believe. I'd have a bottle of gin in my desk drawer and take a shot for breakfast every morning to get me through the day. Just like now.

When we went to the 50's Prime Time Cafe a couple weeks ago, it was such deja vu walking in there. The whole feel of the place felt like my grandparent's house, from the art on the walls to the exact same cookie jar they had. Loved it!

I loved that time of my life, but would not go back. Romantically, I would like to be an 18th century English nobleman, with grand estates, and court one of Jane Austen's heroines.
