    I agree with you, skipper. I also enjoyed his work in 2010. One Disney connection that I know of was that he starred in what I believe was the first made for Disney channel movie, Tiger Town, in 1983.

    Actually, smaller... I saw him once, and he's smaller than you may think. Only about my height and really wiry. I think I saw him listed once at 5'9" and 140 pounds.

    Fine actor. Even a pretty good dancer in All That Jazz.

    "Jaws" was the second (and last) movie I ever stood in line for through a sold-out first viewing ("Mary Poppins" was the first). It was SO worth waiting for -my friends and I were frightened out of our wits... such fun... I was still shaking while driving us home that night!

    And the last movie I watched with this great actor was his first, "Curse of the Living Corpse," a two-fer DVD of classic horror. I didn't realize he was in it - until the moment I saw him... immediately recognizeable and what a delight!

    Rest easy, Mr. Scheider...

    I remember being at Disney/MGM Studios a few days after Jim Henson died, and a nice floral arrangement was placed on his handprints in front of the Chinese Theatre. I was never sure if the park did that, or if it was from some fan. Regardless of who did it, it was very touching and made me tear-up a little when I saw it.
