Also, we can see the ocean right from out house, and that’s kind of cool (except for when we are on a tsunami watch). My DD is now 14 and my DS is going to be 13 in Feb. DH and I are getting along wonderfully. He quit drinking and has been sober for about two years now. I quit my job back in May and started college. So far I have survived two quarters and managed to pull off an A in all three classes each quarter. Not bad for someone that hasn’t been to school in 15 years lol. I will be transferring to WSU in the upcoming fall but will live here and take online classes till DH can get a transfer in at work (he is now an Assistant Manager for Home Depot). My future plans for school is to get my Bachelors in Anthropology and my Masters in Teaching. Money is a little tighter with me attending school, but I do get a pretty nice financial aid and student loan package lol. However, we overspent in September and are now suffering for it. Because of that, we had no money for Christmas this year. We had to buy each kid 2 small gifts and that’s it till I get my financial aid on Jan 3rd. So we are going to have a late Christmas this year in my house (luckily the kids understand). My brother and sis-in-law got each of the kids a few wonderful gifts though to make up for what we couldn’t get them. That way the kids had some gifts under the tree other than from Mom and Dad. So, I guess I will be going Christmas shopping on Jan 3rd after school. So, school and family life have been taking up a lot of my time. When I am not in school (like right now till Jan 3rd) I still play the online game, Runescape. It gives me a chance to relax. I have also made a lot of adult friends on there. It also allows me to keep an eye on what my son is doing in the game. Well, that’s about it on my excuses for abandoning LP for so long. I am actually not going to play Runescape during this upcoming quarter because I am taking three challenging classes; Algebra, Western Civ, and Econ. So when I need a break from schoolwork I will come here instead. Oh, only the Algebra class is on campus. The other two I am taking online. I have done that with both of my past quarters also, one class on campus and two online. It works out great for me actually. I really like being able to do two classes while sitting in my living room on my laptop in my jammers. Okay, talk to you all soon and thanks for letting me go on and on with the reasons I have been absent from here for so long. Shanny

Christmas is about the family, not the presents and I hope yours this year was as good as ever. Life has ups and downs but it sounds like your doing everything in your power to keep your families life good (especially in 2 yrs time when you're done), that's what matters. Congrats on the A's, they feel good when you earn them.

Ohh that reminds me...anyone here really good at Western Civ. (history) or Economics? I could sure use some help in my upcoming classes. Might be cool to have someone to turn to whan I am about ready to pull out my hair. Okay, I need someone to take this Christmas candy away from me. The longer I sit here eating it, the longer it will take me to do the housework. The stuff is making me feel sick to my tummy but these darn after dinner mints are addictive. Someone remove them so I can do the kitchen lol.
