One thing I hope they fix that has plagued the ride since Day One: the general creakiness of the ride mechanism. Any chance the ride has at seeming profound or moving always gets undermined for me because of this.

If I had to pick 8 favorite...most of those would be on my list too. (I'm glad I'm not the only nutjob who gets excited about the chariot!)

Laura and I LOVE Spaceship Earth and can't imagine a trip without making it our very first attraction we visit.

When we heard about the remodel, during a podcast (uhhh... YOUR podcast of course) Laura immediately said "oh no, it better not be closed during our annual trip..."

Our trip dates?: Sept 1st till the 15th. :(

We love Spaceship Earth sooo much, we may change our dates. We just can't imagine a trip without it. As well, we both hope they don't change the anything in the incline. Historically, they've only changed (dramatically) the apex and the decent, so let's hope..

Oh, my favorite part? Walking up the queue. I get goose bumps just anticipating what's to come, and standing under that geosphere is very humbling. :)

Thanks for the article. Loved it. .. and let's get together this Sept! 8):)

BTW, I think it is the sleeping scribes desk that has a great hidden mickey on it. It looks like the ink from the ink bottle has made 3 rings that looks very familiar. I not sure if it is the sleeping scribes desk but it is in that scene. Anyone else know for sure?

    Horizons had good music, too.

But Spaceship Earth had some of the best use of music in Future World, right up there with JII.

They're my favorite. I love Spaceship Earth, it gives you such a cool perspective about our world. In a way the ride kind of pulls everything at Epcot together. Bridging gaps and communicating with one another and sharing our ideas, that theme plays out durig your whole day at Epcot. I always enjoy that aspect about the ride.

Didn't he actually say "Behold, the Sistine Ceiling?

It should also be noted that Walter wasn't the first narrator. Vic Perrin was the narrator from opening until 1986. I know I heard this version, as my first Epcot visit was during its first week of operation. But I have no memory of his voice - Walter is still to me the definitive narration!

Thanks much for the 8 Things, Rebekkah!
