Well, last night, after my classes were over, I decided to drive past the house to see if any lights were on in the neighborhood before I returned to my grandparents' house. As I came down the main street to my street, I saw that lights were on at the gas station and car parts store that had been off all this time. I started to get giddy and nervous, so I called my mom and told her to cross her fingers as I turned down towards my house. Right away, I saw that lights were on in the houses and the street lights were on all the way to my house. As I drove down the street, I finally saw that my kitchen light was on. It was such a relief! 10 days without power in the middle of Missouri's 3rd largest city is insane! But I'm so happy to be home again. My parents were going to bring my cat and dog back to me today or tomorrow, but at about 9:30 last night, they pulled up to my door to bring my babies back. I've got the best parents in the world! For those of you who are the praying kind, keep those still without power in your prayers. There are still about 9,000 people without power here in Springfield, and many more in the rural areas that are without power. My heart just hurts for those without heat and power. Luckily, we have no bad weather in the forecast, and it's going to be a little warmer than last week, but it's still so hard on the spirit to be without power for this long and to not be getting any solid answers from the power companies on when it will be on.

A lot of people have been asking that same question, though. Lol, Tall. I'll have to watch that video when I get off work (they've blocked You Tube in the last couple of months, bleh).
