The big-budget Disney adventure delivered the third largest opening day gross of the year after the $50M of Star Wars Episode III in May and the $39.8M of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire last month. If the estimate holds, it will rank as the biggest opening day ever for Disney. For the whole weekend, Narnia might find itself in the $65-70M range." I believe Prince Caspian was just given the go ahead.

I did not have high hopes for it based on the thought that Disney missed out BIG TIME with "Lord of the Rings" and went with the second rate "Narnia"; however, Narnia actually is a good story and is designed for a younger audience. In the same year where they released the horrific Herbie, thank goodness for Narnia.

We had a chance to see the Narnia exhibit at Disney MGM studios before we left yesterday on our 'get away' day. I can't wait til we get to see it again.. perhaps at the El Cap or something. =) Also the Jadis (the White Witch) walkaround will be wonderful.. =)
