If can get in on that, I'd say you can get there and stay in a deluxe room for 6k or less.     You also may want to consider getting the park hopper for less than 7 days and spend a little time doing some side trips, like Cape Canaverale, the beach, Univeral, Seaworld etc. You will find there is a lot more to do in the Orlando area than Disney.

    If there is anyway you can come before or after the summer, try to do it. It's HOT in FL that time of year and the crowds are heavy. Also avoid any holidays if you can. Planning your first trip to WDW can become a second job, there's so much info out there. So good luck.

    We've been there in the beginning of June & it's VERY hot but, the Parks are open late so we take a pool break mid-day so, it works out well.
