I had heard about it before, but I had always forgotten to look for it. When I saw it, I immediately remembered having read about it. Since the light is orange and floats, I would definately have to agree that it's supposed to be Zero's nose as he floats around in the attic. Definately a really cool little detail.

When they first decorated the Mansion for NBC in 2001, they fixed it. It now runs all year - it is not an NBC decoration, so no, it is not Zero. I have seen it run all year.

Must be because during the regular HM, I had'nt viewed the Mansion as detailed as I do with the holiday version. I'll look for it when the Mansion comes back next month.

Does the OP mean the very top of the house that is all glass and is topped by the ship weather vein? If so then that is new and could be/is Zero for the Holiday makeover.

HM Host here from '80 to '88 and flickering candlelight was most definitely in the second floor windows during the entire time I was on that attraction. I have also been up in the turret and I don't recall any effects up there at that time.
