Park Vue Inn

    Alrighty! I'm coming solo for the July Meet and decided to book the Park Vue Inn based on location. When Mr. Alice and I visit, we stay at the Candy Cane Inn, but have missed the last shuttle a couple of times for all the fun we're having in DTD after park closing. Sooooooo... To save my feet and a longer walk by myself, it's the Park Vue Inn for the first time.

    The write-ups on TripAdvisor.com are pretty positive, but I didn't see anyone talking about the shower water pressure (one of my pet peeves is weak pressure - takes me forever to rinse the shampoo outta my hair! *LOL*)

    Any input on the Park Vue will be much appreciated... Thanks!

I just remembered that the carpets were dirty but there was a cleaning company doing floors in other rooms when we were leaving

    Thanks muffin12... I know they've done a big refurb on the since pretty recently that included replacing the carpets (thankfully!) Glad to hear you enjoyed your stay... It was all about the location for me this time, too. :)

I have medium longish hair, so rinsing after shampoo and conditioner is a big thing for me too at hotels, and I don't remember having an issue with that at the Park Vue. I liked that it had a big refridgerator - bigger than the mini fridges most others have. You can fit alot of snacks in them. And ofcourse the very best thing is the location. You just can't beat it.

    Thanks, ilvdland... I actually called them yesterday after booking online because the e-mail confirmation didn't include the rates. The rep confirmed they had my reservation and quoted the same prices I saw when making it. :)

    I'd also be interested in reading reviews from anyone who's stayed there recently.

    I had the same problem wonderingalice. I thought it was kind of strange that the price did come up on the confirmation. I also called and they quoted me the same price I saw. I was a bit concerned, because the day after I booked online, I noticed the rates had went up a bit. Everything seems ok so far. :0)

    The only problem was when we got to the room, someone elses belongings were in there! After going back to the lobby to tell them they finally found us a room (not w/ the # of beds we needed) but it worked out (kids slept on the sleeper sofa) Yes, check with them before arrival!

    Wow, dsnymomi2... I definitely will do that! I'm arriving very early in the day (probably before housekeeping will have rooms ready), so hopefully there won't be any issues... But I'm going to call again in the days before. My main thing is non-smoking - the configuration of the room is no biggie since it's just me. :)

    We had that problem with our res too! it's been a few years ago but I remember it being realy stressful for my wife since she's the one in the family that does the planning, I help but it's her dad and bro that do nothing but seems to expect everything to go perfect, anyways it worked itself out quickly and we had a great time.

    P.S. the water pressure was perfect for us nice and strong.

    I'm hoping since I have a printed confirmation AND have already confirmed that my reservation is in the system AND will call again the day before... I won't have any issues when I arrive. *L* Hopefully, they've gotten past that stuff. :)

    besides that, the beds have plastic on them, dirty walls, dingy, dark, tile cracked, mold, etc. It's just gross.

    If you must stay there, ask for a room in the newer section in the back, bring ear plugs (walls are thin) & bring extra pillows.

When I got there, they had cancelled my reservation & were going to give the room away the next day to a couple who wanted to extend their stay. (Why they told me this I'll never know) It all worked out, but they were not pleasant nor could they care less about pleasing their customer.
