My son is going to have to leave either Sunday night or early Monday morning to get to Pleasanton (near Oakland) by 8:00am. We will have parked his truck at the Oakland or SF airport when we leave. Preferably Oakland if we can find a conveniently timed flight. Anyway, if anyone has advice about any part of my son's quick return trip, please help.

Roughly $12 per person. I called Super Shuttle and made a reservation for when we arrive at the airport. The reservationist told me the van carries 9 people and to tell the driver we want to go with a group to DL. This way we can avoid unwanted extraneous stops. Although we'll have the dreaded car seats so we won't be very popular. Too bad people : ) SS told me to book the return Shuttle when we arrive for check-in at DLH.

We did the bus once and it took us almost an hour to get to our hotel and I said never again. We will pay the little bit of extra money and have one or maybe two stops and they your at your hotel. We always parked our car in Oakland at a place just before the airport and it used to be about 6 dollars a day but it may have gone up or be gone by now cause we have not flown in a few years. Then we got a ride from a shuttle van that will take you to the airport and pick you back up rather than driving. I think it was about $85 for 5 people from Vallejo to Oakland Airport one way and then the same on the return trip. It was worth it to us at the time before we started driving our selfs. Have a great trip everyone!

Guess we'll be coming back to the room for an afternoon nap..for me too.

LOL Wow their first plane ride how exciting for them. Yeah they probably wont sleep I know that our son did not. Thank goodness for an afternoon nap for everyone. I sure take them on our first day down also. We usually leave our house at 3 A.M. so that means that I get up and ready at 2 and I drive for the first 4 hours. Im pooped alreay just thinking about it. LOL I hope that you have a wonderful trip! Enjoy your EE those are wonderful days!

We live in the SF Bay Area so we are only 20 minutes from the airport on a good day. In rush hour traffic maybe 45 minutes.

Anyway, the best flight times for him were out of San Jose but it's getting him to Orange County instead of LAX. So, which would be better, the Disneyland Express or the shuttle? Now he's not really in a rush any more because there were no flights early enough Monday morning so he has to leave Sunday night anyway.

But, after a 1 hour trip in the car with my 2 and 4 year old driving us crazy I quickly gave up on that pipe dream.
