I also like getting off the path and walking along the beach (I forget if you said you did that). The WL/FW walk is one of my favorites, maybe only second to the Boardwalk/Epcot (or on that level, anyway!) There is a large family of deer that I often see there if in the morning or dusk.

THAT was remote, almost scary to go out there. I have photos of it here (at the end of this page, along with some deer photos if you are interested): http://www.mousesteps.com/inde x.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=20&Itemid=47 The Swamp Trail was really nice - I wish I knew about it earlier.

Originally Posted By nbodyhome I've been doing photo walks, but based on many of the walks I already did (though some I was unfamiliar with). I've done that a lot CBR is a nice long walk - about 40 minutes around the lake. The Trinidad South area feels like it's in the boonies, although you do see the Pop Century bowling ball. Coronado is very nice, but a shorter walk around the walkway. I like the Ranchos area, it feels remote. The OKW to SS path is open from dusk to dawn. A lot of maintenance type vehicles go on it, but I really enjoy it too. There is the Saratoga Springs to DD walk, from two different ways. Anyway, those are some really nice walks! Fort Wilderness will always be a favorite, though I wish they weren't building the Four Seasons out that way. I did the FW Segway tour too, I need to find out if they are continuing it...very fun! I love WDW >> Yep ... walking from WL to FW and back ... and biking too ... and stopping for lunch with some fave Spirits at Trail's End is just some REAL WDW magic to me. It was better when River Country was open and not rotting away and when the petting zoo actually had loads of animals and didn't have the fences that prevent you from getting close ... but still, FW is an amazing, beautiful, peaceful place. It's really what most of WDW was until 10-15 years ago. If they ever try to bulldoze it for more timeshares you'll see a certain Spirit chain himself to a tree!
