OK - I know it seems like a dumb question... everything I 've read says that January is slow. But I went to Disneyland that week following New Years this year, expecting it to be very quiet, and instead it was NUTS! They even stopped selling tickets to get into Disneyland that day - I was only able to get in because I had mine already. In any case, with the substantial investment I'll be putting out for WDW, I am wary of this scenario again. Has anyone been there the first couple days following New Years? We would fly in on New years Day and stay 7 days. Thanks in advance for any advice!

We have already purchased our plane tickets to go at the same time next year. However, this time we are going before the marathon is because I guess it is a week later next year. Now all we have to do is pick a resort to stay at and we are all set.
