Not all the reality in those (the "Potter") films was virtual. There is a LOT of location filming that happens, and quite a few practical sets built as well. Anyway, I'm going to be there during the first two weeks of June, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed for a soft opening. It seems like if one was to happen, which it has to, it would be then. If I'm wrong, oh well.

You would probably be surprised how much green screen is used. There are even some articles online where members of the cast talk about how they became physically nauseated from having to act on giant green soundstages that were disorienting and without any visual cues that would normally keep their senses in equilibrium.
