I'll add my thoughts about the holiday celebrations here in China's DL (surprisingly lop-sided I think) later, but thought these photos might be fun for some to see.

About the holiday celebrations, it was strange to see how much amazing work was put into Halloween (which is just now coming into vogue in the PRC) compared to the really minimal job done for Christmas. Christmas was restrained to the castle lights (GORGEOUS), the big candy canes on Main St (cute, but a little tacky), and decoration in the Emporium.

Christmas decorations are all over the place here in China, so I don't think it's cultural sensitivity exactly that causes it. The wife suggested it's the high Muslim population visiting the park that might make them downplay such a religiously-obvious holiday, which might be true, but I dunno.
