They change the layout every year or so with some different text and new pictures. I have them from each trip. If you're a fan, I think their worth it. My favorite was from the 25the anniversery (I think), it had pics of all the attractions that were in the World with short descriptions and the dates they opened and closed. Even though I'm not going to the World in 08 or 09, I may have to buy the current book, the premise looks good.

It might be billed as the souvenir book, like the DL 50th version was, but it goes beyond a typical souvenir hardback. It was authored by Bruce Gordon & Jeff Kurti, so, it's more than just fluff.

I think David did a good job covering the early years of WDW's history, but the book kinda petered out about the time Michael Eisner came into the picture. I'm guessing that's because the folks who were around for the building and early years of operation of the World are retired now and more willing to talk, where many of the key people involved with WDW's more recent history still have connections to the Company and aren't as willing to be as open about their opinions. Hopefully, David can do a sequel covering the rest of WDW's history eventually...

One correction to SIR's comments, if I may: Jeff Kurtti's book on the history of WDW is "Since the World Began". Still a good recommendation, though.
