This should save you time, as the I-5 can be a big mess most of the time.

I'd take Darkbeer's if it was anywhere near morning or afternoon rush, assuming you have at least one passenger and can use the car pool lanes. Either way, traffic can be capricious and you NEVER know when you might get stuck.

We have learned that once you get off the Grapevine that we say in the fast lane or the lane next to the fast lane and it gets us there with no problems with out having to change lanes all the time. You will notice that you will always have to be in the left lanes to keep on 5 so that is why we stay in the fast lane that is usually not very fast. lol I hope that makes some sence. There is also a carpool lane once you get close to the park and you can take the Ball or Disneyland exit. Very easy to take.
