Looking at the concept art, it doesn't look like they will be incorporated into anything onstage, and the windows are confusing me a little bit. They seem to be making very fast work on them, so they must be pretty important.

This cuts out the front entrance area and the bugs land section of the corridor. I don't know if they are still planning on sticking with this route, but I believe it would cut out approximately half of the length of the parades. To me, this just seems silly, since they are trying to get more people in the park, and cramming them in siginificantly less space to see a parade. They might be changing it to enter from approximately the same spot that it starts from now (which I hope they do), but last I heard it was up in the air. If they make it shorter than it is now, then they will be able to keep the building next to the Screamin' load area. This will lead up a road between the back of the Wharf and the side of Carsland to the gate that's already there. If they want to keep it long, I suspect they will need to remove it, since there would really only be access to it from one end (and there isn't going to be room for a turn around at the other end). They could build a new one along the back of the park somewhere, so I don't think that would be a huge issue, though it would free up some room back there for anything they're doing for Carsland. I would be shocked if those new buildings are for parade barns. They both appear to be two stories, which means that they can't have any tall floats in them. Unfortunately, most of the floats are far taller than would fit in there. My first instinct was that they look like the Monorail barn, so it makes sense that the trolleys will live in one of them.

But yet I also feel bad for the mother’s and daughters sprinting from paradise pier to HSM just so they can watch it and then get there and the parade is like done with.

Originally Posted By FerretAfros My understanding was that it would come out right there, from a gate on the south side (toward the building by Screamin') of the Carsland entrance, and immediately turn toward the current parade route. If this is the only entrance to Carsland, I think this will be a terrible idea because there will be a lot of traffic going in and out of that area, especially for the first few years. I undersand that it will add significantly to the distance that the parades have to travel backstage (so that distance will be significantly longer than the onstage length), as it will now have to travel around Carsland. Either way, I think that they should keep the current route. Even with the park being practically empty most days, they still do a pretty good job of filling up the sides with people. If they shorten the route, they will need to put more people in less space, which will be problematic long term. And while I'm rambling about parades, have they returned the water effects to the Pixar Play Parade? I know they took them away last fall when it started getting cooler, but I haven't heard anything about them coming back. And will the Ratatouille float ever return? I thought it was one of the more interesting ones, so I'm always a little sad when it's gone (and then half of the parade is Toy Story, which I have no interest in).

Either way, I wouldn't worry about it too much. As it is now the parades flow right past the main entrance to the park and in front of the only walkway into HPBL without any major bottlenecks. I'm guessing that the traffic flow will be engineered to accommodate the new parade route and people moving in and out of Carsland. I'm also guessing that the new plaza that will be the centerpiece of Buena Vista Street will be significantly smaller than the area that is there now because of the new buildings, which would create unnecessary traffic jams. More importantly, I imagine that the new trolley's overhead wires will prevent any tall parade floats from passing through that area.
