But how many times did they say immersive in that promo? It's not that i'm nit picking their choice of words, it's just that I've been using that word a lot lately on the forums and I only realize it because the spell check says it's not a real word.

Go ahead, type it out - it doesn't exist according to spell check. I went to the extent of finding other ways to say the same thing since the spell check actually had me convinced it might not be a real word.

Regardless, the new stuff and their direction looks good.. (first Imagineering promo in a long time where I didn't want to scream "Liar!" at someone in it).

I am troubled by the comment that Mermaid is to a level that's "never been done before.." To be perfectly honest it looks like a classic Epcot ride. That's certainly not a bad thing, but it's not undone either. Who knows, maybe a few surprises are coming.

    Anywho.. discuss. :)

Just talk to us straight ... and don't go overboard. The phoniness is just utterly sickening!

We need to learn not to be so hard and fast with E/D tickets nomenclature. Sometime the ticket level had nothing to do with quality but sponsorship and capacity.

The Monorail is a good example (E Ticket from 1959 to the last day of the ticket book system)

Well guess what? I don't read their postings! I don't need their "one sided" blog for anything .. when there's tons of other Disneyesque sites that deliver news .. without all the phony way of talking.

In fact .. it's the first video I've watched from their site .. and it will probably be my last ... because what you call "grounded in real language" is far too saccharine, and will turn my stomach.

I know they're doing the best they can with a generic swing ride, but they do seem to be talking like it's going to be something really special and unique. Other than the paintings on the pole (which most riders won't even look at while their on it), there's really nothing that distinguishes it from every other swing ride. They keep talking about how the story will unfold as the ride raises up, but I think anybody with half a clue will be able to see the tornado on the base section of the tower (the one that hides the other sections), and the 'surprise' will be completely lost.

That, and out of all the Silly Symphonies they had to choose from, they decided to go with a short that was not a Silly Symphony at all. I have no problem with them not using an SS short, but they need to change the name. Call it Mickey's Fun Swings or something, or paint it with an SS theme. It's not that hard to get something that works. I guess I should be excited about the name, since it came from the same people who dreamed up Carsland (which is apparently 2 words, according to the host).

And I only counted them saying immersive 3 times. : )

I agree, and it's most notable in the video when they gush over Silly Symphony Swings as if it's were a brand new E ticket ride. Of course if they didn't do that people would complain that they weren't being "Disney" enough. The sort of perky attitude displayed in that clip is virtually a Disney trademark now. Other than that I have to say it was a nice promo piece.

OAN, has anyone noticed that there's rarely, if ever, any mention of the redo of Mullholland Madness whenever Disney discusses the upcoming changes to DCA lately?

They never really said too much about it in the first place. They've always seemed confused with what they will do, since they seem to realize that nobody likes the ride, but it's just cheaper to keep it and retheme it. It did get a quick screen shot in this update, which makes me believe they're still planning on doing 'something' to it. Just what that something is, we may have to wait a little longer to find out.
