    That said, I'm not sure I get the "be what you want to be today" vibe. It's probably because I'm just not very cool, but it seems like the hotel might be a little too swanky for its own good. I'm sure that will get adjusted as needed once real guests start flowing through the space

So the idea would work for returning from the theme parks via DD but not early in the morn going to the parks. I used this concept from the LBV Hilton. Just crossed the street . Very simple and safe walk. And that Hilton is usually very cheap rates because it is older but still very nice. They also are the only DD location that offers extra magic hours.
    If that hotel is the one I noticed it was right across the street on the opposite corner. I meant to inquire but forgot.

    I see. So are there hotel shuttles to the parks? I stayed at one of those hotels when I was a kid, but that was 100 years ago.

    There used to be buses from DtD to all of the parks, but that stopped a few years ago once too many people figured out that you could park for free at DtD and then take a free bus to any park.
