My favorite thing is sending the bagels through the conveyor belt toaster. Too cool. The staff is great. The pool while not huge is very nice, also kiddie pool land hot tub. Lots of greenery and flowers too. We love it. A group of 50 of us just got back, everyone was happy with the choice. We paid 97.00 per night. Not the cheapest around but in my opinion well worth the price.

Dessert Inn is a hit or miss as is Ramada Inn Maingate. But for the rpice we would staty there again. Even if the reviews aren't so good. Both offer a continental breakfast. Parking is limited. Ones that I would avoid at BW STovall's and Anaheim Park Inn (I think it's called). Both were older and were not that great. Cheap though and that's why we stayed there. Also Stovall's is a long walk. Atleast in our opinion.

We've stayed on property a few times (GCH and DLH) and loved them, but just can't afford them too often.

Also nice about CCI is having the 7-11 and Mini-Mart so close by yet you cann't see them from the motel. We got the CCI starting Oct 30 five nights at $89.00

We always walk in the a.m., but we enjoy taking the shuttle back in the p.m. AND being a dedicated shuttle, rarely have to fight for seats!

My mom is an ex-smoker and she thought it was bad! The BWPPI is also not available for my quick trip. I am, however going to try it again for the half-marathon in September. I have been leaning towards the CCI for a long time, so I may give it a try. Thanks to quincytoo...I love hot chocolate!

Nice big room, comfy, refrigerator and microwave (we're not using the microwave, but the frig comes in handy), and right across the street from the entrance. We were at DL and DCA this morning and then came to check in and stay out of the heat for a bit before heading back to DL for dinner and a late night. Definitely recommend the Tropicana. /cs

Originally Posted By fkurucz We have stayed at HoJo's. Its a nice hotel. I wouldn't go as far as calling it a resort. For one thing it has no on site restaurant (sure, Mimi's is next door). If it has any weaknesses, its that its a little far from the crosswalk (not a show stopper for us) and its prices have gone up lately. We have also stayed at the Holiday Inn at the Park (the one on the corner of Harbor and Ball). Its even farther than Hojo's. It has a mediocre on site restaurant (OK for breakfast) and a tiny lounge. The pool area is very nice, except for the reeway noise (on the other hand, because of the freeway noise the pool doesn't close at night). Rooms have been OK, but they don't have fridges.

Not as close as some of the others on Harbor, but the pools are a thousand times nicer. And the rooms are a pretty good size, and spotless. And I love the free high speed internet in all the rooms. And there is no parking charge - I hate parking charges!!! LOL!
