Utilizing new state-of-the-art trackless 4-passenger ride vehicles designed by ETF Technologies to take riders through the highly themed attraction, guests can shoot at over 250 ghostly targets within the 8-room 'mansion'. A very impressive pre-show featuring a portrait of the 'owner' of the estate, Lord Kenneth Ghostwood, comes to life via a very convincing CGI effect. The effects and theming of the ride were designed by Halloween Productions/Dark Rider Productions.

The ride is one of the most elaborately themed dark rides built by a regional amusement park, and is, quite simply, very well executed. I found it to be fun and the attention to detail is probably only second to Disney's Haunted Mansions as theme park haunted house attractions are concerned. It is possibly one of the best interactive dark rides that I have ever ridden, including Buzz Lightyear and the Scooby Doo dark rides found at various other parks across the country. It is scary in spots, but, overall, it is just a very fun attraction that needs to be ridden many times to see everything.
