So I went off to work all worried and teary. I managed to teach all morning with just a few little bumps that didn't feel like his normal kicks. So, by lunch I was a nervous wreck, crying and worried so I called a nurse and she told me to have someone take me immediately to the hospital to labor and delivery. So I leave my class with another teacher and wait for Chris' grandparents to pick me up. And, on the way to the hospital, Jake started giving me some little kicks! I went in for fetal monitoring anyway and, by that time, he was moving so much that she was having trouble finding his heartbeat! I stayed hooked up to machines for a while and they discovered that I was having little contractions that are not unusual at all. I wasn't dialated at all so they sent me on my way. I'm still kind of a mess, totally emotional. Of course, today is the day that Chris works late so it's just me and Maggie all evening. I'm so relieved that things looked OK but I can't stop worrying, especially about the contractions. So, good vibes and prayers would be much appreciated!!!

The day before I delivered, because I was nearly two weeks late they did a non-stress test on me. They hooked Tyler up to a heart monitor, and everytime he kicked or moved I had to push a button. He wasn't very active. Lots of good wishes coming your way!

Also, did you drink alot of water the last couple of days with it being so warm here? I know that I had some early contractions but it was due to being slightly (and I didn't even realize it) dehydrated. Good thoughts coming for you and Jake and Chris.

It's scary, no two ways about it. Are you having Braxton Hicks contractions?

For a while I wasn't sure if that's what they were but now I'm pretty sure that's what I've been having. I'm trying to just calm down about the whole thing but it's hard! I am going in to work today, I'd stress out more if I stayed home I think!
