Today WDW is hosting a SW night and on the promotion banners and merchandise they also use the old logo.

WDW has definitely been using that logo more frequently in the last couple years (including the seat fabric for refurbished monorail trains), but I don't know if they're using it exclusively. Marathon Weekend in January is typically one of the first places to get updated merchandise (including the first post-Hat 4-park logo items), so it will be interesting to see what pops up there in a few weeks

Disneyland uses their retro gothic font for their logo, so I kind of like that WDW is reverting to their globe-D/retro-70's font. Much of WDW was restyled in the early/mid 90's (including the Walt-script logo), but it's starting to look really outdated; I think the intentionally retro look is a lot better

The DLP logo consists completely of the Disney font, while HKDL has a "Chinese" themed font for the "land" part of the logo.

Each resort should have its own style. Tokyo Disneyland doesn't use the Disney font at all, only the resort logo has the typical Disney in it.

But yeah, they should definitely return to the old style logo. It helped to make WDW distinct from Disneyland, with a logo of its own.
