    1. When does the 50th celebration end?
    2. How many years will HMH be around?
    3. Is there a known opening date for The Nemo submarine ride?
    4. I will most likely travel alone to the park what would the advantages and disadvantages be for The Disneyland Hotel VS Best Western Park Place Inn?

If there is any help that anyone can give it will be greatly appreciated and I am sure tons more questions will follow.

    Thanks

    4. DLH: early entry, "magic." BWPPI: less expensive, closer.

Yes, I had forgotten that the monorail will be down...one way trips beginning this month I believe and then down completely in September 06 until May 07.

Will be interesting to see how this affects the Hotel bookings.

I guess I would still prefer walking "on property" to get to the hotel as opposed to public streets...but that is just my personal preference. I think it is always fun to stroll through Downtown Disney!!

If indeed Disney is counting May 5th as the official start of the celebration. I don't know how they will handle winding it down though... some things are bound to stay up for awhile.

Can anyone tell me how close Park Place is to the parks in comparison to the Disneyland Hotel?

    Thanks.

Technically, the PPI is even closer to DL than the DLH itself! Read about it here:

Don't forget the monorail does go down quite often & it's quite a walk without it. BWPPI is literally at the crosswalk. So there's no long street to walk down or shuttle to wait for. It also comes with breakfast. :D

I dont have any complaints about it, it just wasnt one of the nicest places I've stayed.

Right now it is estimated that the 50th celebration will end in early Nov as they decorate for the holidays next year. No word on fireworks at this time. Parades are also up in the air right now.

Yes there are, but not that I would ever recommend. I've had terrible experiences at the Park Vue & Desert Inn & the beds were awful at the Carousel. Candy Cane & Ho Jo's would be the only 2 I would recommend, but they are further down Harbor.
