I know it is obviously in the face of Walt's idea to have a place where the whole family could be together, but it is not like Disney is sticking to that these days anyway. What do all of you think??

As with just about everything Disney's ever done, it will still be family friendly, but the focus won't be on attractions for children. Why they can't just make attractions that everybody can enjoy together (hmmm, wasn't that the point of building DL in the first place?) is beyond me.
