So far I have been able to gather that the Movie Premier is on Saturday and the park is closing early that day so I don't want to go at that time. Now, When is the refurb of the ride going to be availible to the public? Is the opening ceramonies of the ride the same night of the movie? I would love to attend an historical event like that if the Ride opening is on Sunday or Monday. Is the park going to be excesivly crowded on the day that the refurb becomes availible to the public?

Thank you in advance for your advice.

On the 24th, the park opens at 6:30 am to make up for the 5 pm closing for the premiere. The Pirates ride will open on June 26th. I haven't heard anything about any kind of ceremoney.

You can expect it to be absolutely packed around Pirates on Monday!

The Media has events scheduled from the 23rd thru the 26th, but have not been specified yet. The last few "Grand Openings" (Space Mountain, Monsters, Inc.) have not been available for public viewing, just media and invited guests.

And I think the line for Pirates will be quite long, especially since the SoCal AP holders only have Monday and Tuesday to check it out before they get blocked out until late August.

My guess, at least a 2 hour wait most of the day.

Of course I'm all for Pirates syphoning guests from the rest of the park, I can wait until Fall or Winter to ride it.

Disney's main concern about the 25th, traffic control. As the bleachers will still be in the area, and having to have CM's control one way traffic to Critter Country, there is just no place to set up an extended queue. The plan has the bleachers being disassembled during the day, and then removed overnight, leaving most of the area open for Monday. (Some lampposts might be missing, and other issues, such as the Fantasmic! Stage area will still have stuff) but the vast majority of pathways should be open.
