    Wow. I just realized that was 17 years ago. I can still hear the chorus singing "Goliath of Gath" over and over and over. Ugh.

    Sadly I missed it but I did make it to the performances at the Skirball a few years ago. Some sterling vocal performances.

    I've always had a soft spot for the music - Saul Has Slain His Thousands, Hunted Partridge on the Hill and The Caravan Moves On in particular. There are some clunkier numbers in there but overall I still enjoy the OCR.

    And as I have to say every time I mention a Menken production - THANK GOD he hadn't met Slater back then otherwise I dread to think what dire wordplay would have been used.
