Any thoughts, tips, suggestions, etc. are sincerely welcomed.

Here's the story: Jerry and I are both 58 years old. We were both divorced 30 years before we were blessed with finding each other. I always dreamed of honeymooning at WDW and now it's here!

We're having a sunrise ceremony on a lovely place on our land (our home is in the country) then we drive to WDW (from Texas). We're about 1 hr from Houston, about 18 hours to WDW.

When free dining came out we changed plans from 5 nights at a deluxe to 11 nights at Pop. Pop is a favorite resort and, LOL, at our age we'll have a blast reliving every decade. I've stayed deluxe, mod and value so I do know what I'm doing staying at Pop for our Honeymoon, LOL.

All ADRs are dinner, we'll use our CS for breakfast or lunch:

9/4 - Les Chefs de France
    9/5 - Coral Reef
    9/6 - Kona Cafe
    9/7 - Kouzzina
    9/8 - Artist Point (2 ADR meal)
    9/9 - Tutto Italia
9/10 -(Night of Joy - no ADR)
    9/11 - O'Hana
    9/12 - Tokyo Dining
    9/13 - Biergarten
    9/14 - Rose & Crown
    9/15 - We head home :(

We have a carriage rider booked after dinner at Artist Point on 9/8.

We have Night of Joy (special for us) on 9/10.

Spa treatment, water craft rentals, in-room Honeymoon celebration, Beaches & Cream for ice cream, watch Wishes from the beach at The Poly, etc.

We really want to wear the bride & groom ear hats. We're both a young 58, huge Disney fans, kids at heart and we've waited SO long for this Honeymoon. Do you feel there is an "age limit" to wearing the bride and groom ear hats? We'll definitely wear the honeymoon buttons but, LOL, we don't want to put park guests off seeing two "old folks" running around The World in Mickey bride & groom ears. Help!

We'll have 10 day hoppers. We'll use our NoJ tickets to enter MK at 4 p.m. on 9/10. We cannot decide if we want to do another park free day mid-trip so we can get into parks after check-out on 9/15, or, use all 10 days prior to check-out and just get up and head home on 9/15. Help again.

We're about done with planning. I have final input on our cake and my flowers this weekend and that's it.

Any input is welcomed! And, if you're in the World 9-4 to 9/15 and see two old folks wearing Mickey wedding ears stop and say "Hi".

    Thanks in advance!

There's our trip report in the section, but it was both our first times, and we go commando-style (running about).

I think you will be ready to go home on the last day but it depends how hard you play. Our "break day" in the middle was nice. Of course we still went to NASA and Fantasmic!. So, I think it all depends how you tour.

I can't imagine honeymooning at POP but I've never been there. I hope it is a blast.

Thanks for sharing. It sounds wonderful and magical! Congratulations!

LOL, I'm sure most won't understand honeymooning at Pop, LOL, but we are going to have a BLAST. I love Pop.

Pop is beside Hourglass lake. We requested a room with a king bed in the 1950's building facing Hourglass Lake so it's quiet and lake view.

Every reservation we have (room, ADRs, carriage ride, etc.) has HONEYMOON plastered to it. LOL.

I agree with you, I think we'll be ready for our road trip adventure home on 9/15.

    Thanks for sharing!

I hope you get some nice little upgrades too. I did convince DH to wear the pins at MK and Epcot and we got some well-wishers. It added to the experience for me. Coral Reef is on my must list for next time, as well as California Grill.

I'm hoping next time to see more of the other hotels, but Pop isn't really on my list. I want to see the Wilderness Lodge and Polynesian and Grand Floridian first. I don't think I'll ever get to stay at one, but I want to see the lobbys or have a drink at each or a meal.

Have a blast and congrats on your upcoming wedding!

Thanks so much! Just 28 days to go!

Actually, we have already ordered our Ears :) We ordered our Bride & Groom ears last weekend from Doobie & Rebecca (LP Store). They are supposed to ship Monday (8/8). Disneystore.com had grooms ears but no brides ears, LOL.

We're driving so we plan to put them on as soon as we drive through the "Walt Disney World" arches :) and we'll be wearing them when we check into Pop.

LOL, we've also considered wearing our ears when we cut our wedding cake. :)

Thanks so much for the tip and the congrats. We're VERY excited.
