I know this is beating a dead horse, but if WDW had been smart it would have started construction on an E-ticket attraction 2 years ago that would have set them up to be able to promote their 40th and a great new attraction. But Disney decided to take the cautious path.

    Well, I don't know how many families make the decision to fly/drive or otherwise get to WDW because of a new e-ticket attraction. Now, I suppose some fanatics will make a trip as a result of one new ride but my guess is that is not a big percentage of overall attendance.

    I agree. I think it tends to be the thing that pushes people over the line from thinking about a WDW vacation to doing it. It gives them justification for spending the money. Plus this year would have been great for Disney because of the addition of Harry Potter at IOA. A family could say...lets go to Orlando. We can see Harry Potter and that new thing at Disney.

    Everest was the attraction that led us to tipping point to go the WDW (instead of Anahem or Tokyo) the year it opened. Sadly the poor maintenance, poor cast and overall ripped off feeling that trip has stopped us going back. It made me very nervous ofour Disneyland trip the following year that reconfirmd for me that the original is king!

    Oh sure you are. You understand high quality in theme parks as well as proper treatment of guests so I conclude that you understand TDR--- it's as simple as that.

    Well to be fair, my kids were 18 months and 3 years old at the time. I felt travelling to the US with them being so young would be a little less stressful. But still, we opted for WDW over DL.

    But it is pretty telling when the best thing about the trip was meeting friends (therefore suggesting we could have had as much fun at Denny's).

    As much as I love Denny's (not), I do think that WDW would have the edge, though. ;-)

    (Know what I really hate? Denny's on I-4. Never doing that again. *shudder* )

    ANYTHING is over Denny's...

    ANd Sunshine Season's ain't bad.. I think I just over did it one trip, and have not been back, since. LOL.


    Haven't been to a Friday's in years...
