They also have a fake fireplace and a plasma TV over the fireplace. But these are only in the suites. Hope this helps you.

I know it sounds crazy, I just like to be prepared and not say, "OH, I should have brought...."

We had to get a rollaway too, which was $10 per night, I think I remember.

Also, have you viewed the fireworks from the observation deck? We are arriving on a Sunday afternoon and are hoping to catch the fireworks this time. We don't go into the park until Monday.

I will be going June 8th-14th. When will you be going joeysmommy? I will be able to tell you more then.

I went ahead and booked 2 suites for Sept 23-30. It's half the price of a cramped standard DLH room! I was going stir crazy by the 5th day. We weren't in our room very much, but when we were, we tripped all over each other and our stuff. Have you been there in June before? I took my son out of school last Sept (kindergarten) so we could go Mon-Fri. I'm impatient and my kids are 3 and 5 yrs old, so waiting in line with them is rough. I guess June 8-14 shouldn't be too bad since some schools don't get out until mid-June. We don't get out until June 13th, we are in the SF Bay Area. I tried to meet up with atinkfan when we were both there in September, but we were both with a large group and kept missing each other. Have a great time in June!

When standing on it, it seems like if you had a good arm, you could almost throw a football far enough and bounce it off the roof of Space Mountain. Probably not true, but fun to be so close. But rather than watch the fireworks from the Park Vue on the night we arrive, we have always walked down to Downtown Disney to get dinner at the Rainforest Cafe and get ourselves into the Disney spirit. The view of the fireworks is rather obstructed (you have to try and watch inbetween buildngs), but we never want to be in our room when there is Disney fun to be had! I should mention we have always arrived on a Monday in November, so the fireworks might be shown earlier than you would see them on a Sunday night in September. In which case it would be nice to be at the hotel (with kids already in PJs!!!)

We're planning on arriving Sunday afternoon, head over to DLR for a charcter dinner and then to bed early. Well, after watching fireworks from the hotel. I learned my lesson last year, don't try to do a marathon day. We had to get up at 3:30am to get to the airport by 5:30am for a 7am flight. Got into DL by 11am and everyone dragged their butt all day. The next day was even worse after a late night dinner at Rainforest Cafe. This time we will spend Sunday traveling, then hit the parks fresh on Monday morning. We didn't get to see any fireworks last year since we were there Mon-Fri. That's why I'm hoping for the Sunday night fireworks, even if it is from our room.

We are really excited to try the Park Vue Inn this year. If we like it in June then we are going to make reservations for our November trip also. So I hope it is nice. We have stayed at Desert Inn once and had a 2 room suite (didn't have any problems there, thank goodness) but would not want to risk having any, since I have heard so many bad things about them. So having a bigger room or rooms is so nice. I know what you mean about tripping over everyone and their stuff. I hope we both have good rooms at Park Vue. Have a great trip too. momofbuzzfan- I know what you mean about not wanting to be in your room when Disneyland is right there. We are like that too. We have to go to downtown disney also. Just so excited to be there!! This year we are getting annual passes so we can go the evening when we get there. I am so excited!! Thanks for the info on Park Vue Inn. I am ready to be there now.

Also....your plan to watch the fireworks from the hotel sounds perfect for you guys. You should have a great view, and be able to hit the hay right after. The two times we have gone, it was the Christmas fireworks show and they showed it every night at 7:45. Also, DL was only open from 10am-8pm. So the kids could REALLY sleep in, and were back in bed at night pretty early. I'm glad you guys have another trip planned. I enjoyed your trip reports from last time. After our first trip, we have decided to try and make it an annual thing for the week after Thanksgiving. At least until my Kindergartener is too old to be pulled out of school. Happy planning to all!!!!

My email is on my profile. I'm worse than the kids. We have to be at DL the entire time, no wasting time in the room! Momof Buzzfan- Thanks, I'm hoping they will be ok with just hanging out at DTD, maybe swimming a bit, watch some fireworks and go to bed. DL is open 10-8pm when we are there too. Which is fine for now since they should be in bed by 8pm anyway after all that walking around. How was the breakfast at Park Vue? Is it muffins and cereal? Wow! You remembered my trip reports? Since it's my birthday and my boys' birthdays in September, we've decided to make it a birthday tradition. Yes, I'm pulling my kids out of school while they are still young. I started the thread last Summer about taking the kids out of school and telling the truth, seemed to be a hot topic! In the end I told his Kindergarten teacher the truth and we did Independent Study so his absence wouldn't cost the school money. It was a lot of work, but it all worked out. I felt less guilty too. Also, how was the park Vue staff? Did they allow grocery deliveries?
Originally Posted By momofbuzzfan I imagine that the Park Vue would have not problem with grocery deliveries. But the staff is very friendly and I imagine they would accomate you in any way. As far as breakfast....it was NOT very hearty. We did it once when we were there 2 years ago, and it was very inconvenient. It was too cold to sit outside on the observation deck, and there was very limited seating inside. When we were there last year it was being renovated, so I will be curious to see what it is like now. But it was basically just toast, small muffins, and dry cereal (I think). I remember all the plates were small, as well as the juice cups, and it was a pain to try to grab a bunch of stuff to take back to the room for the whole family. I guess if you all head down there it would work out better. Again...I have no idea what it is like now since we completely skipped it this year. We just made PB&Js in the room with OJ and bananas. Twice we ate at IHOP which is in the parking lot. HAS ANYONE BEEN TO THE PARK VIEW BREAKFAST RECENTLY (POST-RENOVATION)? I am very curious to hear what it is like now..... Thanks!

I would definately stay at the BWPPI again the continental breakfast had bagels, doughnuts, juice, cereal, etc. but you can also use your breakfast tag in the Captain Kidds restaurant for fresh pancakes (which were taste). I had the pancakes and bought the kids the breakfast buffet ($3.99) eggs, waffles and such and they were good to go until mid afternoon.

I do hope others will let us know about the breakfast offered at the hotel. I am interested to know also. Thanks!
