Ours is still pretty green, not drying out too badly and I don't have a tradition or specific date as to when I want to take it down.
It's also the first year I've ever had a 7 1/2ft tree and I'm just not motivated to tackle undecorating and taking it down yet...it's a monster!
   )

The real trees dry out so fast nowadays.

    And Travaria, really? Christmas day?

I'm already bowled over by all the Valentine's and St. Patrick's Day stuff at the fabric store. I am just not ready to shift gears yet (or stop drinking hot buttered rum).

Where I grew up in Indiana, my mom would keep our stuff up only until New Years Day though. We had fake trees though as I'm allergic. (yeah I ruin it for everyone).

I only do a tree about once every three years, and I've enjoyed having my tree this year, but I'm about done with it. I'm fortunate to have this week off from work, and I'd like to do the packing up while I have all this free time, and get the house back in order. I'll probably tear it all down this weekend and just store the bare tree in the garage until next wednesday morning.

We have 2 Boy Scout troops competing for tree pick ups here in our neighborhood now and since our tree still smells awesome and fresh, we're going to go with the Jan 6th picking up Troop since it's later than the other pickup )
