There have been a handful of locations tossed around for the Studios (Starring Rolls and the Writer's Stop), but DAK seems to be more mysterious. I would assume they'd want it on Discovery Island, but there aren't any available locations at the moment, especially since the Camp Minnie Mickey meet & greets have recently occupied some of the retail space

Either way, it's just an outside vendor filling a location; I'm much more open to the 'corporate' feeling in DTD, which has always had 'normal' shops and restaurants while the parks have always tried to be a little more unique

Originally Posted By CuriousConstance I think one in DTD, and one in each park is just right. You might even be able to sneak in one inside of a hotel and still do well. Lots of people either spend the day in DCA or DL, not both, so each park is a no brainer. And I can imagine lots of people are in DTD at various points of the day and find themselves wanting coffee. Especially in the morning, while waiting for parks to open. Lots of locals probably come just to hang out in DTD without even going into a park. Same is probably true for vacationers, I know I usually take a day and don't go to the parks, but either relax, shop, or go to another SoCal attraction.

Originally Posted By Dr Hans Reinhardt "And they need a cart elsewhere in DTD (per DisneyParksBlog). Really?" From a service standpoint an issue with espresso is that it takes time to prepare a decent drink. With the enormous number of people descending on DLR daily at least two espresso type coffee retailers are probably needed to meet demand. "In NY, you'd be surprised how close Starbucks locations can be to each other." Same here. We literally have Starbucks cafes directly across the street from one another downtown.

In Orange, not far from Anaheim, there is a plaza/traffic circle in Old Town that has two Starbucks locations diagonally across the plaza from each other. You can sit in one and gaze across the circling traffic at the other. But don't take my word for it: http://s325.photobucket.com/us...?filters[user]=75784377&filters[recent]=1&sort=1&o=0

It always tastes burnt and acidic to me (but I'm used to real Italian espresso). And if you like mochas, Ghirardellis' mochas are vastly superior to Starbucks.

Love their white hot chocolate! Have also enjoyed their protein packs with cheese, crackers and fruit. A great quick snack. And don't get me started on their new La Boulange pastries. There's more to Starbucks than coffee.

It proves one in each park is not enough.

The Starbucks in DL does just fine business, even with Jolly Holiday about 100 yards away. I think that would be a nice option for people looking for something to eat, who aren't particularly interested in getting coffee (like me)
