I was the first in my family to see it. It looks pretty neat, however, there was no construction what so ever, it basically just sat there unfinished. the only thing we saw were busses practicing parking in the lot.

Now this has never happened, why would Disney leave this empty and unfinished and so that people could see it. It's scheduled release was set for 2003! Little late dont you think?

I guess they ran out of paint! LOL!

Anyone have more information. I have found a bit, but why would Disney leave it unfinished without covering it up somehow. I mean, its just sitting there. and Disney never lets anything just sit there unfinished without covering it up!

That delayed the opening of Pop Century. Frankly, I'm amazed that they've already been able to open as much as they have.

Provided that test run goes well, the other side of pop century will be primarily different types of suites.

Isn't the occupancy rate at WDW around 70%? If so, then there is no reason for them to offer more rooms. Unless they want to discount and compete with offsite cheapo motels.

I seriously think they ran out of paint! I can't believe how much paint they use! LOL!

Actually the occupancy rates ("residency" here at WDW) fluxuate (sp?) with the seasons and conventions. Frequently the occupancy can reach 100%, especially during the home builders association convention and holidays.
