Is everyone else finding that prices are super high at the park now(hotels), or do ya think it's just expedia? I'm gonna call direct and see what rates I can get. Thanks for any input, and for letting me vent.
    :D

BTW, a regular room at Paradise Pier was $305.

I like staying onsite because it's just my 12 year old and I. I feel a bit safer. (I'm know I'm probably not, but still....)

Also, I'm turning flippin 35!!! Goin' old in style!

Next week I will be a motel across the street - and many LPers like HoJo's.

(Weird, because she then quoted me $401 a night for the same thing with an AP- more than 10% off) I'm gonna go look into Embassy suites!

Any tips for staying at HoJos? I've never been. How's the walk? I put in a request for the top floor in the comments section on the reservation page, but should I contact someone else?

    Thanks for any info!

And a thought on your way to DL in the morning stop and get a to go menu from Mimi's which you will pass. Then call in your order shortly before leaving DL and grab it at Mimi's as you head to your hotel room. Good food, good prices.

I love to walk, and my son is 12, so no worries there. And I love Mimi's. Thanks for the info on the to go menu. I really love staying onsite; walking through downtown disney to my room and hanging out on the balcony overlooking DTD and the fireworks. However, I can not for the life of me justify those prices. They're just insane.

Besides, now I'll be able to afford the Easter brunch and maybe the Riverside Fantasmic!
    :)
    Thanks again!

    Thanks
(The rates were actually the same as their 15% off for more than 3 days deal, so I just went with that.)

Also, if you are looking for sit down in Mimis, I don't know if they do it at that one but the Mimi's by our house lets us call and put our name on the waitlist. So if you call as you are on Main Street heading out, by the time you get there your wait is either minimal or even nothing!!!!
