I did a speed test a few minutes ago and it came back at 160kb/s. No kidding. I did a hard reboot on the modem and then did a speed test and got 1320mb/s. Hey, I certainly don't expect the 5mb/s Qwest says can happen. But c'mon!

I truly believe it is your modem, because when I had my old modem (non-wireless) I had to do the same thing you did, constantly reboot at least once a day. I have never tested the speed of my Qwest service though, it seems fast enough to me. I have also heard that Norton in the worst thing for your computer, that it freezes it up. I am probably less of a tech expert than you ecdc, so I'm just going by what my computer geek friends have told me.......
